PLT energia, one of the largest independent Italian groups active in the wind and photovoltaic energy sector, announces the appointment of Simone Vercesi as General Manager.

The company controlled by PLT holding S.r.l., a group wholly owned by the Tortora family, operates in the renewable energy market with an annual electricity production of more than 400 GWh and with an industrial plan that targets a production of more than 1.82 TWh by 2028 through operating plants in Europe and the US.
A graduate in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pavia, Vercesi began his career in 2005 and then held management positions in the most important Italian private and public companies in the sector until December 2024.

Stefano Marulli, CEO of PLT energia, commented, "The appointment of Vercesi goes to strengthen the Group's management team with particular emphasis on the strategic management of operations and the development and implementation of the growth plan in the US.
